4 tbsp malt whisky; 2 tsp soft light brown sugar; 2 cups hot black coffee; 100ml double cream, very lightly whipped. |

You will need 2 tall large wine glasses. Put 2 tbsp of whisky into each glass and add the sugar. Stir well. Add the hot coffee to each glass (stand a spoon in the glass to stop it from cracking). Stir to dissolve the sugar. Very carefully and gently using a teaspoon just touching the coffee pour the cream over the coffee., so as to form two distinct layers of coffee and cream. |
