| Recipe Ingredients |

1 small red onion, thinly sliced; 15g butter; 500g red cabbage, shredded and tough stalks discarded; 1 tbsp brown sugar; 1 tbsp red wine vinegar; 1/4tsp ground nutmeg; 1/4tsp ground allspice; 1/4tsp ground cloves; 2 eating apples, peeled, cored and sliced; 50g sultanas. |

Melt the butter in a saucepan and gently cook the onion until soft. Add the cabbage, sugar, vinegar, nutmeg, allspice and cloves. Mix then cover and simmer for 40 minutes, stirring occasionally. (If starts to stick add a little water). Add the appples and sultanas and continue to cook for 15 minutes. |
