chocolate orange tart

Recipe Ingredients
21cm pastry case
450g good quality dark chocolate
zest of 1 orange
360ml double cream
3 eggs (medium size)
200ml milk
cocoa powder, sieved, for dusting

optional - creme fraich and raspberries to serve
 
Recipe Method
Place the chocolate in a bowl over simmering water to melt.

Once melted leave over the hot water but remove from heat.

In a seperate bowl lightly whisk the eggs.

In a pan add the milk, cream and orange zest and heat until near boiling. Then strain this over the eggs stirring to combine.

Slowly add the melted chocolate to the milk and egg mixture stirring continuously to mix well.

Add this mixture into the pastry case.

bake in a preheated oven 200c/400f/gas 6 for 30 mins or until wobbley in the middle.

allow to cool and then put in fridge for at least 3 hours

to serve: dust with the cocoa powder, and dash of creme fraich and raspberries at the side.
