Carrot bread

Recipe Ingredients
125g carrots, peeled and grated;
1 tsp bicarbonate of soda;
1 tsp salt;
450g plain wholemeal flour;
150ml full-fat milk;
300g low-fat natural yogurt;
oil, for greasing.
 
Recipe Method
In a bowl combine the milk and yogurt.

In a separate bowl mix the flour, salt, bicarbonate of soda. Stir in the carrots and enough yogurt mixture to form a dough.

Knead the dough on a floured surface and shape into a round. Mark a cross in the middle.

Put on a lighlty greased baking tray and bake in a preheated oven (200c/gas6) for 35 minutes, until risen and hollow sounding. Serve warm.
