| Recipe Ingredients |
| 2 large eggs, separated; 1 tbsp caster sugar; knob of butter; 2 tbsp strawberry jam; fresh strawberries, sliced. |
| Recipe Method |
| In a bowl put the egg yolks, 1 tablespoon water
and half of the sugar and mix. Whisk the egg whites until soft peaks form, then fold into the egg yolk mixture. Heat the butter in a nonstick frying pan and add the egg mixture. Cook for 2 mins until the base is set and golden brown. Put the frying pan under a hot grill to cook until the top is set. Make a shallow cut across the middle. Spread the jam on one half and top with the strawberries. Slide omelette onto a plate and fold over. Sprinkle the remaining sugar over the top and serve immediately. |
