Pot-roast beef with cinnamonby Ben Smith |

| Recipe Ingredients |
| 800g boneless beef chuck roast; 3 onions, sliced; pinch of ground cinnamon; juice of 1 lemon; 300ml dry white wine; 1 bay leaf; 6 tbsp butter; 2 tbsp vegetable oil; salt and pepper. |
| Recipe Method |
| In a pan heat the butter and the oil and gently
cook the onions for 5 minutes. Add the meat and sprinkle with the cinnamon, season with salt and pepper. Pour in the wine and add the lemon juice and bay leaf. Cover and cook on a low heat for 2 hours 30 mins, turning the meat occasionally. When the meat is tender remove from the pan, slice and arrange on a serving dish. Pour over the hot sauce from the pan and serve immediately. |
