Creamy chicken and bacon pasta

Serves: 2

Recipe Ingredients
200g pasta such as penne;
2 tbsp olive oil;
2 skinless, boneless chicken breasts;
150g smoked lardons;
5 tbsp white wine;
6 tbsp double cream;
100g frozen petit pois.
 
Recipe Method
Cook the penne in boiling water according to the pack instructions. Set aside.

Heat the oil in a non-stick frying pan and add the chicken breasts, add the lardons around the edge of the pan. Brown the chicken all over until golden and almost cooked through.

Add the wine and let it bubble until some of it evaporates. Add the cream, peas and cooked pasta. Cover the pan and cook for 5 minutes until the chicken is cooked through.
