Chocolate digestive crunchies

Recipe Ingredients
200g digestive biscuits;
100g butter, plus extra for greasing;
3 tbsp golden syrup;
2 tbsp cocoa powder;
50g raisins;
100g dark chocolate.
 
Recipe Method
Crush the digestives into crumbs. Melt the butter and syrup in a pan. Stir in the cocoa powder and raisins then thoroughly mix in the biscuit crumbs. Spoon the mixture into a buttered 18cm sandwich tin and firmly press down.

Melt the chocolate by putting it in a heatproof bowl over a pan of simmering water. Spread the melted chocolate over the biscuit base and chill for 30 minutes.
