Beetroot and beef salad platterby ellie brooks

|1 green lettuce such as Cos;
400g small cooked beetroot, cut into wedges;
bunch radishes, halved;
2 x 300g thick sirlion steaks;
5 tbsp olive oil;
1 red onion, cut into wedges;
1 tbsp capers;
2 tbsp balsamic vinegar;
2-3 tbsp soured cream.
|Rip the lettuce into pieces and arrange on a
platter. Arrange over the beetroot and radishes.
Brush the steaks with olive oil and season. Put the remaining oil in a bowl along with the red onion. Heat a griddle pan and cook the steaks for 2-3 mins each side. Remove and cover with foil to rest. Cook the onions in the pan until they have softened.
Thinly slice the steaks and place over the leaves along with the onions and capers. Mix together a little vinegar and a little olive oil, drizzle this over the salad. Season and then drizzle over the soured cream.
