| 175g self-raising flour 65g chopped walnuts 75g shredded suet 75g caster sugar 1 egg, beaten 5 tbsp maple syrup milk to mix |
| Recipe Method |
| Grease a 2 pint (1.2 litre) pudding basin. Mix together the flour, suet and 40g of walnuts. Add the egg, 2 tbsp of the maple syrup and sufficient milk to produce a smooth dropping consistency. Place the remaining walnuts and syrup in the bottom of the pudding basin and then spoon the mixture on top. Cover with pleated greaseproof paper and foil and steam for 1 hour 30 minutes. Turn out and serve hot with extra maple syrup. |
