| Recipe Ingredients |
| 8 egg yolks, 1 pint milk, 150g milk chocolate, broken into pieces, 1 tbsp strong instant coffee, 50g caster sugar, 3 tbsp cornflour, double cream and crushed amaretti biscuits to serve. |
| Recipe Method |
| Into a large bowl put the yolks, cornflour and
sugar and whisk until frothy. Heat the milk until boiling. Then whisking well, pour the hot milk over the egg mixture. Return this to the pan that was used to heat the milk and gently cook for 10 minutes, stirring continuously until thick. Remove from the heat. Add the chocolate and coffee and stir. Spoon mixture into serving dishes and chill until set. Serve with the double cream and crushed amaretti biscuits. |
